Prepare for the Ren Faire

My gorget for my ren faire armor is almost ready

s a first real post here, I have decided to share what I am currently working on with everyone.

Since I will be at the Minnesota Ren Faire with Carolyn E Mills in about 2 weeks, I have been preparing a suit of knights armor. My scale and chain hauberk has been ready for a little while now, so I have been working on a pair of bracers, a plate gorget, and a form of cuisse or tasset to round out the whole outfit.

So far, I have been heavily focused on developing a viable technique for coating the foam base of each piece in plastic to achieve a smooth metallic look once painted, Now that I have that figured out, it's crunch time.

I will keep posting pictures and updates as the parts come together.
